Gregory L. Miller, DO
Dr. Miller is a board-certified osteopathic physician with specialization in Internal medicine and Emergency medicine. He has practiced in a variety of settings in western medicine over the past 20 years. He is also extensively trained in Holistic and Integrative medical care.
Dr. Miller is trained in osteopathic manual medicine, craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, Zero Balancing, Reiki, guided imagery, Rubenfield synergy techniques and Somatoemotional Release. He is currently studying with the Maharishi College of Vedic Medicine to evaluate the potential integration of pulse diagnosis and Ayurvedic medicine into his current western medical approaches.
Dr. Miller has trained extensively in shamanism and shamanic healing techniques. He has completed all the weekend workshops from the Foundation For Shamanic Studies in Mill Valley, CA. He has completed the 2-week Intensive Training in Core Shamanism and Shamanic Healing with Michael Harner, PhD and Sandra Ingerman. He is also a graduate of the Foundation For Shamanic Studies' 3-year Advanced Training in Shamanism and Shamanic Healing.
Dr. Miller has completed a 2-year program of teachings related to Andean Healing and Shamanism, the Andean Medicine Wheel, and Mesa work with Dr. Richard Sandore in his "Entering The Field" apprenticeship.
Dr. Miller's shamanic training has also included work with quantum physicist and shamanic practitioner Claude Poncelot, PhD in the area of shamanic shapeshifting.
Dr. Miller is currently working with don Alberto Taxo. Don Alberto is an Ecuadorian Master Iachak (Shaman) of the Cotopaxi people of South America.
Dr. Miller has trained extensively with Sandra Ingerman (mental health professional, best-selling author, shamanic healer, and world expedition leader) in the areas of Soul Retrieval and Medicine For The Earth. He has also completed her "Teacher Training" for Medicine For The Earth.
Dr. Miller is also a lecturer/presenter in the area of shamanic and spirit based applications to contemporary health care. He has recently presented in Santa Fe, NM and Orlando, FL. He is currently being sponsored to help organize and present a conference in June 2003 at Sunrise Springs Resort that will occur in Santa Fe. This conference is entitled "The 2nd Annual Conference in Medical Shamanism - Envisioning a New Medicine". This conference is sponsored by Alternative Therapies in Healthcare and Medicine (a peer-reviewed journal in CAM medicine) and the Foundation For Shamanic Studies. He was also involved in the organization and presentation of the highly successful inaugural conference on Medical Shamanism that was held in June 2002. Dr. Miller will also be presenting in Seattle, WA in March 2003 to a large group of healthcare professionals at a conference called "Medicine and the Planet - The Future Of Ecologic Medicine". Dr. Miller is currently involved in national travels to teach "Medicine For The Earth" and other shamanic-based workshops and gatherings.
